Eating with your fingers? Tasteless mush? Bone-throwing? There are plenty of clichés about medieval cuisine, and we’re here to clear them up! Using original recipes handed down from noble courts and monasteries, we prepare a four-course feast that will take you on a delicious journey through time.

Like its historical late-medieval model, our feast doesn’t come without entertainment: look forward not only to culinary delights but also to musical accompaniment and fascinating insights into the dining culture and everyday life of the era.

Festive Menu

  • 1st Course: Mushroom soup with morels
  • 2nd Course: Torte des Menagiers (a kind of quiche filled with assorted leafy greens) and sour cherry purée
  • 3rd Course: Schweinspfeffer (pork ragout with bacon, onions, ginger, pepper, and cloves) with gnocchi
  • 4th Course: Pears in syrup, Torta di Marzapane, candied walnuts
